AIM-VA Accessible Instructional Materials
Accessible textbooks and instructional materials are available for free for k-12 students with IEPs in Virginia. Eligibility requirements are provided.

Assistive Technology Network
This website addresses priorities of the Virginia Department of Education with centralized coordination, implementation, and dissemination of information about AT.

AT Loan Fund Authority (ATLFA)
Provides alternative funding resources for Virginians with disabilities to acquire assistive technology to enhance their independence and quality of life.

Virginia Assistive Technology System (VATS)
VATS is a statewide program whose mission is to ensure that all Virginians, regardless of age or ability, can acquire the appropriate, affordable assistive and informational technologies and services they need to participate as active citizens in their community.

WWRC Assistive Technology Services
A Division of the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) offers evaluation, consultation and treatment programs for individuals who require assistive technology to live, work and go to school as independently as possible.

For ideas regarding which accommodations might work in various situations JAN’s Searchable Online Accommodations Resource (SOAR) provides various accommodation solutions for work and educational settings that might be helpful.
